To all,
I have spent some time working on Tomcat v5.0 & Mod-JK for CentOS v4.3 &
BlueQuartz v1.0. This is an open BETA test!! I do NOT know JSP to save my
life! I used a very basic "Hello World" script to test. I do NOT know how
much JSP will work, I would assume much of it will. BUT, that is not what I
am testing.
I have built a BETA package installer. It is BETA, which means it may work,
it may break your production box. Please take my warning seriously!!!
I am looking for who ever has a lab, test, build system that is willing to
test the installation of this package.
The requirements.
1 - Somewhat knowledgeable of Linux and underlying BlueQuartz system.
2 - Someone who has some extra time
3 - Someone who realizes this may NOT work the first time.
4 - Someone who realizes this is BETA software!!
5 - Someone who can trouble shoot if it fails installation, or fails the
configuration page, etc.
If it doesn't install, E-Mail me the logs. Do not post to this forum. If
you can, tell me what you had to do to fix it. If you find an error, do NOT
tell me, "It doesn't work on my system", as chances are I already know that.
I need to know WHY.
I have tested this .pkg on a brand new install, using my 4.x CD (unreleased,
beta). It is fully patched w/ testing patches and all CentOS patches.
Meaning, if you stay current with "yum update", you are running the same
version I am!!!
I need feed back. I need quality feed back. Please, I can NOT stress this
enough. If you make a living from your server, do NOT install this
software! If you do not know anything about linux, DO NOT install this
software!
Once I get "OK" from any and all testers, I will release a non beta version
that will update automatically!
Now that you have read this, here is the link. REMEMBER!!!! This is beta
software, and although it "should" install & function, I am telling you it
will crash your system, empty your bank account and leave you blind.

If you install via the CLI, make sure you restart CCE!!!
service cced.init restart
Once again. This is BETA software, it is an open beta test. I am looking
for feedback. I need more then "It works" or "It doesn't work". Please
install some JSP application and give it a try!
